The Not So Cleverly Named Pages Chapters Stories Project

If you're reading this, it means you've stumbled across an artwork of mine and have been directed to this page for explanation. I'll try to explain. The explanation will likely change and develop over time as I get better at explaining. So check back on occasion. 

Each month I will (or have) typed out a page of text. The contents will vary between stream of consciousness, quotes, storytelling, practicing at explaining...to ranting about, whatever and rambling about art. It's messy.  The point is that each month the page of text will be different and the page will provide the backdrop for a series of mixed media works. You are likely the (hopefully, proud) owner of one of these pieces. The number of pieces I make each month will vary with time and inspiration. I started with the month of May. And I have produced and put out for sale 23 pieces. That's it. I'm done with May. 

A little more detail.... The works I produced for the month of May contain prints from current and past paintings. The prints are on archival paper, using archival ink (this means, if treated properly, they will likely outlive me..). The rest of the pieces, however, are not necessarily on archival anything. Some of them contain vinyl cut-outs, vintage and handmade papers. I've draw on some with colored pencil, maker, paint. They are true mixed media works, and each are unique. With few exceptions, the only consistency is the background page (sometimes the print). And me, it's always me.  Gosh I really hope this makes sense. 

The project is developing. I've heard from some you already (I like hearing from you) and there have been a couple requests that I included the full text of the pages here somewhere so they can be read. We'll see. Maybe next month. 

Okay, that's it. Enough explaining. It's exhausting. And NO I'm not a 12 year old. I'm a grown (some might say old, others immature), woman with an overly active imagination.  xoxxoxoxxxoxo
